THE YOUNG PEOPLE
OF THE BIOSPHERE RESERVE

GROWING UP IN THE JULIAN ALPS BIOSPHERE RESERVE

Young people in the Julian Alps Biosphere Reserve have the opportunity to explore their territory, get to know each other and have fun thanks to various activities and initiatives.
The summer camps organised in co-operation with regional, national and cross-border Biosphere Reserves are definitely not to be missed!

Junior Rangers

This project was developed thanks to the initiative of Europarc, the Federation of European Parks, which fosters quality experiences in direct contact with nature for youths residing in protected areas.
If you enjoy being in contact with nature, reside in one of the Biosphere Reserve municipalities and are aged between 12 and 14, you can become a Junior Ranger too!

Youth Council

This is the Biosphere Reserve Management Committee’s advisory body and plays a pro-active role in bringing the voice and ideas from the younger generations residing within its territory to those who manage the Reserve.
All residents between the ages of 16 and 30 can become members. Let your voice be heard!

Summer Camp "Paths of Sustainability”

A week in the Alps and by the sea, where participants have the opportunity to discover their local area, get to know each other, and have fun through various activities and entertainment.
Are you aged between 15 and 18? Come with us to discover the two Biosphere Reserves of the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region!
Organised in co-operation with the Miramare Biosphere Reserve (Trieste, Italy).
